Jack N. Mohr’s exhibition of abstract mixed media paintings, complimented by a selection of his sculptural work, will be shown at ARTAMO GALLERY in two time segments — part one, from May 17 to June 4, and after summer break, part two, with a set of different works, from June 21 to July 9, 2006.

Mohr’s work, in a palette of industrial hues together with silvery, metal-like nets, with nails punched into the canvas or coming out from the back as spikes, may create strange feelings and associations, somehow dangerous, but attractive at the same time — elements contradict beauty, expression contradicts impression.
