KARIN AGGEKER & ELANA KUNDELL
RECENT WORKS
APRIL 12 – MAY 6, 2007

This is an exhibition of recent works by two women artist that are new to our gallery. Even though their upbringing, cultural background and personal history differ widely, their work connects profoundly. Each has its own distinct style and yet the same dedication, honesty and integrity can be seen and sensed in their paintings.

Elana Kundell creates imaginary environments in the abstract that are based on emotional rather than physical spaces.

Karin Aggeler works with layers of color, varying texture and calligraphy marks, sometimes coming from landscapes that she distills into basic shapes and hues before completely abandoning them in the final painting to embrace the experience and vision of the viewer in a dynamic continuous communication.
