Jack Reilly - Breaking Away

JACK REILLY — BREAKING AWAY
ABSTRACT ILLUSIONISM PANTINGS OF THE 1990’S
AUGUST 5–22, 2010

A special feature during the ever-changing "24/7 Summer" group exhibition of 24 artists over 7 weeks of summer. Jack Reilly, one of the original artists of the Abstract Illusionism movement in the U.S. in the 1970s became known for his geometric abstract works on complex shaped-canvases, breaking away from traditional forms and limits of painting. In his works, Reilly challenges concepts of illusionary and pictorial space, executed within an abstract painting context.
