Michael Moon, born and raised in Southern California, earned his M.A. in Educational Psychology before studying art at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and at UCLA. For the next nine years he painted essentially in solitude. During this time he began to integrate Eastern and Western thought in the symbolism of his paintings. For him the process is even more important than the product.
