ANN BALDWIN — LINES OF SIGHT

Ann Baldwin, born in London, England, came to the San Francisco bay in 1990, wheree sshe took up painting after being a teaacher of literature. Self-taught at first, she later took art classes at the College of Marin.

Over time her work has become more and more abstract, but it still contains fragments of text, a visual reminiscence of her long relationship with literature and theater. In her newest work — shown during this exhibition — she integrates her own photography into her unique method of combining collage, drawing and painting.
